I care not much for a man's religion whose dog and cat are not the better for it.
~Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln was famous for his love of animals, and I think he'd approve of Quincy the cat, since he bears the middle name of  John Quincy Adams, our sixth President who was in office when Lincoln was teenager.

Quincy walked into this household on Friday and with the swish of a tail, promptly made himself at home.  I adopted him (or, er . . . he adopted me) through the Washington Heights Cat Colony. (Washington -- another U.S. President!)

Quincy's story is on the crossword blog. He is a tough little guy, a real survivor.

I'm counting on Quincy to help with the stitching.  His job is to keep all the floss in order, without even thinking about swatting, pawing or twisting it into knotted, amorphous, unrecognizable shapes.

Right.
